Mold inspection prices vary depending on the scope of the project. Lab fees and sampling materials determine the costs per job. A general rule of thumb is to provide a sample for every 1000 s/ft or in a "red flag" area. Most samples/tests average about $125. When doing air testing remember to include a baseline or control sample in your calculations. WE also utilize Swabs, Carpet Sampling, Biotape, Bulk Sampling, Prepared Slides, Wall Samples, and Grown Cultures (as neceassary). A mold inspection may be as simple as identifying a single sample or as comprehensive as surveying the entire house utilizing several combinations of tools available.
Limited Sampling
The purpose of limited mold sampling is to detect the presence of micobial contamination in client defined areas of the subject property. This level of service consists of taking appropriate samples in specified locations.
Mold Screen
This level of Mold Inspection utilizes the assesment of the entire house, identification of any "red flags" for mold, and limited sampling for mold. This service is most often provided in conjunction with a Pre-Purchase Inspection. Its value is that it identifies all the "red flags" in the property. It is limited since complete sampling and further field assesment are required to write remediation specifications for the site. If "red flags" are found an upgrade opportunity will be offered to the client.
Mold Survey
The purpose of the mold survey is to detect the presence of a microbial problem in all (not just flagged areas) readily accessible areas of the subject property, and to collect data elements to enable remediation specifications to be produced. This service identifies, determines casue and provides corrective measures for all mold sources discovered in the entire house.
Clearance Testing
Designed to determine the effectiveness of remediation efforts and to document the absence of microbial problems before rennovation. The nature and extent of the sampling is directed by an IAQ Specialist as part of the remediation plan prescribed for the property. Clearance Testing is conducted within containment areas after remdiation efforts and before remodeling efforts.
Post-Cleaning Testing
This level of service is designed to determine the effectiveness of remediation efforts and whether mold problems still exist in a designated area where no containment was in place for the remediation effort.
